BLUE BEAT & SKA
Blue Beat & Ska is an international deejay collective active on Facebook, Instagram and Youtube. They are promoting ska, rocksteady, reggae and northern soul on their channels, both old as well as contemporary. Their fanbase reaches well over 200.000 followers and keeps growing fast. While the music on display is topnotch, the members each use their own designapps and ideas for creating their video's and flyers, with various results. The group insists on making their own designs as they both like it and are keen on learning, but did ask me to design a few posters for them for special occasions. These, they stated worked as an inspiration and they're trying hard to incorporate some of the elements they like into their own work. They also asked me to create a video style to further inspire them for their video uploads, which is something they recently started doing. On display here is some of the posters, slipmats and videos I designed for this great lot.
